This week saw the arrival of our new Year 7 Prefects. After applying for the advertised posts and submitting written application forms, fifteen of our Year 7 students were shortlisted for interview. After some excellent interviews we were left with the difficult decision to choose only six. Whilst the children were away on their residential trip to Cambodia , the top six were chosen and were announced in our whole school assembly on Monday morning. Science day at BSKL kicked off with a bang and a fizz and lots of wows! A terrific ‘Science’assembly enthralled and wowed the children from pre nursery all the way up to Year 7! They watched a jelly baby scream, a magic bottle full of holes that only leaked when you took off the cap, hydrogen explode! Friday, February 10th was the exciting audition day for BSKL Idol. The Music Department auditioned fifty acts from all year groups in a marathon day of listening and watching a huge variety of acts. The performances were diverse and entertaining and included singing, dancing, acting and even one student careering around the music room on a unicycle! CNY & Non-Uniform Day Raises Money for Charity
Following on from our fantastic Chinese New Year assembly and non-uniform day we are delighted to announce that RM 1,658 was raised by our Mandarin department and the CNY sub-committee. This money will go towards a donation of wheelchairs to the "Beautiful Gate", a centre for the disabled. Congratulations to all involved - it was a day of huge success for all!
