International Awards
International Awards

Secondary students over the age of 14 years will have the option to take part in the International Award for Young People (known in the UK as The Duke of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme).

This renowned programme, offered by schools, colleges and youth organisations throughout the world, aims to introduce young people to worthwhile leisure activities and voluntary service, and recognises this achievement in the form of an internationally recognized award.

Students of 14 years of age and upwards will get the chance to work towards the Bronze Award by taking part in a community service programme, recording personal achievements in a chosen skill area and sporting activity, and working towards the skills necessary for completing the adventurous journey at the end of the award. Silver and Gold award programmes will follow for those students who wish to take this further.
