Activities week saw us getting our hands dirty at school and around KL and further afield. In addition to the trip to Borneo highlights included...

A visit to the Aquarium. A highlight was the fish feeding where we saw an enormous stingray! We enjoyed walking through the underwater tunnel with the fish and turtles swimming around us. It was fascinating to see the colourful and exotic creatures they have on display there.

A trip to the Discovery Centre. We explored the Space Zone, took a ride in a helicopter Simulator, experienced an ‘earthquake’ and walked among dinosaurs.

We visited the theatre to watch a performance of “Giraffes Can’t Dance”.  It was an all singing, all dancing afternoon of fun and a lovely time was had by all.

We looked at some pictures by artist Jackson Pollock.  We used the www.jacksonpollock.org website to design our own pictures and had tremendous fun making real world giant splatter paint pictures

We visited Komplex Budaya Kraft. We watched how Batik is made and then painted our own Batik pictures. We took a tour around the complex and saw the wood carving hut, the basket weaving hut and the pottery centre.

We visited Get Crafty where we made animal carts.  At a second art gallery we completed two day art projects based on the story of the Specky, Pecky Egg. We made clay ducks and painted them using brushes, fingers, scrapers and balloons.
